Nearly half of Americans will drive for holidays this year, choosing road trips over other travel methods. A survey of 2,000 drivers shows people will spend an average of 13 hours driving between November and January. One in 10 will log over 30 hours of holiday driving. The study, commissioned by Jiffy Lube, found 57% of Americans enjoy road trip adventures. Cost drives many decisions, with 53% choosing driving to save money and 50% citing comfort. Despite benefits, nearly one-third have experienced car trouble during holiday trips. Americans travel far for family time, averaging 408 miles for holiday visits.
