A new study reveals 19% of Americans never receive flowers from their romantic partners. The survey of 2,000 Americans found that 25% don’t know their partner’s favorite flower. Only 24% of those who think their partner has a preferred bloom can actually name it. The research shows 73% would accept flowers as an apology for mistakes like hurtful comments or forgetting dates. When people do receive surprise flowers, 63% feel loved and 41% feel appreciated. Americans struggle to identify certain flowers—76% recognized sunflowers and 68% identified roses, but only 38% knew orchids and just 9% recognized ranunculus. Generational preferences differ, with Gen Z favoring tulips at 21% and sunflowers at 11%, while millennials prefer sunflowers at 12% and lilies at 7%. (Story URL)
